Quick Crochet Beanie and a Twix Please!

Hello!

I've lost my favourite black crochet beanie! Disaster! That little hat is so quick and easy to pull on when I'm running out the door! I have a collection of winter hats, (well I have a collection of summer hats too...but that's a story for another day!)  furry ones, ones with ear flaps, woolly ones, hand knitted ones, even one supporting our local football team! But that little black beanie was definitely getting the most wear this winter! I'm sure it's around here somewhere, maybe it's even kicking around in the back of the car!

While I am waiting for it to reappear (I know, as if by magic!) I thought I would quickly crochet up another one! But not only has the beanie gone walk about, the pattern has vanished too! Honestly I am not  messy or disorganised normally so I am beginning to think the universe is somehow conspiring against me!  I am having a go at making one on the fly so to speak! So far it looks like this:

I do love this aubergine/egg plant colour!

The yarn was really inexpensive $3.99 a ball in Michaels, to be honest I think I thought I had bought a ball of Debbie Stoller's Stitch Nation Yarn.  As you can see from the label I thought wrong! It's actually Sheepish by Vickie Howell.  However it's crocheting up really nicely and as long is it fits and looks OK I'll see if I can get a pattern together to share with you!

It's coming together so nicely I am even thinking of crocheting myself a giant granny square blanket in using lots of complementary stripes of colours....will keep that idea bubbling!

Today's chocolate post is based on one of my favourite snacks, the Twix Bar!

These gorgeous looking homemade Twix Bars are from Bakers Royale.  Oh my goodness my morning coffee would love to share the limelight with two of these! Yes I did say TWO, well  a single twix always looks like it's lost it's twin, wouldn't you agree?!

  1. 'One twix is lonely' was the theme of the recent twix adverts in the UK! I agree, two is necessary, much like a kit kat! Beautiful colour wool, hope your black beanie turns up!

    1. I did not know that!! There are some lovely yarn colours in that range, very bright and vibrant! I hope my original one returns from whatever adventure it's on too!
